However, many local governments face the same problem today: they know they must address the cyber protection of their PV systems, but they lack clear instructions on how to do&nbsp;so in practice. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5b68093 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5b68093\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is why the Guardexy team has been actively participating in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guardexy.eu\/en\/guardexy-at-vidacon-a-conference-for-cities-and-municipalities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">professional conferences, seminars<\/a>, and meetings with representatives of municipalities, cities, regions, and energy managers over recent weeks. The goal was to be available on-site, answer specific questions, and explain what the new law actually means for the operation of municipal photovoltaic power plants. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-931fd17 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"931fd17\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The legal obligation is clear. This includes photovoltaic power plants, their remote control, and building energy systems.  <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In recent months, municipal representatives have turned to the National Cyber and Information Security Agency with hundreds of inquiries. However, the agency <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lupa.cz\/aktuality\/nukib-nestiha-odbavovat-dotazy-kolem-noveho-kyberzakona-cekat-muzete-i-mesic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">repeatedly points out that it lacks the capacity<\/a> to provide individual advice to all local governments. The result is uncertainty: what is an obligation, what is a&nbsp;recommendation, and which measures make sense in actual municipal operations.  <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-53e5f8a e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"53e5f8a\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;jet_parallax_layout_list&quot;:[]}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9bcdaa9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"9bcdaa9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Thousands of data points daily. Every day, thousands of digital data points and control commands enter and leave the inverters, often directed toward the foreign servers of technology manufacturers. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Personally, I&nbsp;was very surprised by the amount of data sent to the manufacturer&#8217;s&nbsp;cloud. Emphasis was placed on prevention, communication monitoring, and the ability to prove that the municipality truly has its technology under control. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.protext.cz\/english\/press-release\/cesky-gamechanger--guardexy-chrani-fotovoltaiky-pred-riziky-cinskych-technologii\/55331\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Using the example of N\u011bm\u010di\u010dky in South Moravia<\/a>, municipal representatives could see the system for filtering digital packets entering the inverters and how they can be filtered and audited. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e920290 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"e920290\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;jet_parallax_layout_list&quot;:[]}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fc21570 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"fc21570\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Municipal energy is now critical infrastructure<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f411a7e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f411a7e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Municipal PV systems are gradually becoming part of critical infrastructure, much like street lighting, water supply, or the authority&#8217;s&nbsp;IT systems. And just like those, security is not a&nbsp;luxury, but a&nbsp;basic prerequisite for stable operation. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Practical experience shows that cyber protection can function as an independent security layer between the PV inverter and the network. It monitors communication, filters non-standard commands, and creates an audit trail in case of inspection. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-46f3068 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"46f3068\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The open debate continues<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-afe4d4a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"afe4d4a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interest from municipalities, specific inquiries, and open discussions confirm that the topic of PV cybersecurity is timely and practical.
