The Czech security device Guardexy is officially entering the market. Following high interest from the professional public, municipalities, and abroad, it is now available for all photovoltaic owners\u2014residential, commercial, and municipal. Currently, Guardexy is compatible with SolaX and Growatt inverters, two brands that represent the majority of the Czech market. <\/span><\/p>

Households can order Guardexy via the SOLSOL e-shop, while companies and municipalities can use the contact forms at guardexy.eu. SOLSOL partners can order as usual through the B2B portal. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Guardexy was created in response to long-term warnings from N\u00daKIB (National Cyber and Information Security Agency) regarding the high level of risk associated with PV inverters managed from China. In the Czech Republic, such technologies account for more than 90%. Furthermore, the new Cybersecurity Act, effective from November 1, 2025, introduces an obligation to protect photovoltaic power plants against unauthorized external interference. <\/span><\/p>

“As a distributor, we have access to thousands of power plants. If we can access the data, so can someone with malicious intent. Guardexy addresses this exact vulnerability\u2014it gives the user control over what enters and leaves the inverter,”<\/span><\/i> explains Martin Nov\u00e1k, Technical Director of SOLSOL and Head of Guardexy Development.<\/span><\/p>

According to Nov\u00e1k, the main advantage of Guardexy is that it does not require a ban on Chinese technologies and allows for the protection of existing installations without the need for expensive inverter replacements.<\/span><\/p>

“Our goal is not to disconnect or ban technologies. We offer a smart filter that can filter out risky communication in real time while providing the audit trail required by law,”<\/span><\/i> he adds.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Guardexy is a fully Czech product\u2014both hardware and software are developed in Brno, and key components originate from the EU. Development was led by a joint team from SOLSOL and the Brno-based startup MaNoSens. The device combines data filtering, real-time analysis, audit functions, and proprietary security algorithms. <\/span><\/p>

“Foreign markets do not yet offer similar technology. Most solutions opt for completely disconnecting the photovoltaics from the cloud. Guardexy, on the other hand, allows continued operation while protecting the infrastructure. Even inverter manufacturers are already sending us positive feedback,”<\/span><\/i> says Svetoz\u00e1r Nosko from MaNoSens.<\/span><\/p>

Nosko is also among the first users. <\/span>“I have had Guardexy installed at home since the summer. I don’t want to give up smart power plant management, but at the same time, I need to know who is accessing my inverter. Guardexy monitors my operation 24\/7 and has already filtered out suspicious cloud requests several times.”<\/span><\/i><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Pilot operation in the municipality of N\u011bm\u010di\u010dky confirms interest from local governments<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

One of the first locations where Guardexy protects a larger number of installations is N\u011bm\u010di\u010dky in South Moravia. The company Solar Bryka deployed cyber protection for the municipality’s photovoltaic systems located at the municipal office, the cultural center, and sports facilities. <\/span><\/p>

Mayor Zbyn\u011bk Slez\u00e1k describes how Guardexy allows for the monitoring and filtering of commands at ten-second intervals, giving the municipality direct control over the management of their resources. Feedback from other municipalities was immediate, with demand also coming from regions and energy companies. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
