PV system.

Made in the Czech Republic.

Protect your power plant’s data. For owners, businesses, and municipalities. Starting December 2025.

Our story.

In just a few years, the photovoltaic market has transformed from a niche segment into one of the fastest-growing pillars of European energy. Today, every power plant operates as a smart, data-connected device – featuring online monitoring, remote access, and cloud management. Digitalization has brought efficiency, but also a new type of vulnerability that has long remained overlooked: the cybersecurity of the inverters themselves.

This gap in the ecosystem was the impetus for the creation of the Guardexy project.

Guardexy is a specialized security device that monitors and manages photovoltaic inverter communication in both directions – inbound and outbound. It can audit, log, and filter data transfers in real time. It identifies non-standard behavior and blocks suspicious commands in real time. It is a response to real market demand for a technology-neutral, practical, and rapidly deployable tool that protects the data integrity of photovoltaic systems in residential, commercial, and municipal installations.

The development of Guardexy is backed by a Czech team from the companies SOLSOL and MaNoSens. Key components are manufactured in the European Union, where all data is also stored.

Frequently Asked Questions

Early prevention is always cheaper than dealing with the consequences.

Because cyberattacks on internet-connected devices are on the rise – and PV systems are no longer an exception. Most modern inverters communicate with manufacturers’ clouds (often outside the EU) and send data about your power plant. Guardexy acts as an active protective filter that prevents unauthorized transfers and protects your investment and data.

An unprotected PV system = an open gateway to the network.

Your power plant could be remotely shut down, slowed down, or exploited for attacks. Through a vulnerable inverter, an attacker can also gain access to your home network, where you have computers or smart home devices. Guardexy can detect, block, and report these attempts before they occur.

No. All operational data and manufacturer monitoring are preserved, without affecting the manufacturer’s warranty.

Are you online? Then you are a target.

Whether you only own a mobile phone or other smart home devices: if your inverter has remote access, a cloud connection, or a mobile app, then it is online – and therefore potentially vulnerable. Guardexy offers the same solution that your computer likely uses: a high-quality firewall, a shield against unwanted data traffic and commands.

Compatibility is broad, and we are constantly expanding it.

Guardexy supports all common brands (Solax, Goodwe, Growatt, Huawei, Sungrow, etc.) and works independently of the manufacturer. It monitors data traffic at the network level – so it does not interfere with hardware or void the warranty.

Security without compromising speed.

The device operates passively in real time – checking data flows without delay, without interfering with operations, and without affecting performance. All transfers that are safe and permitted pass through completely freely.

Installation is plug-and-play: it simply connects between the inverter and the router (or LAN switch). Any electrician or installation company – or our partners – can handle it. The entire process takes a few minutes, without any power plant downtime.

Low investment, long-term security.
You get continuous 24/7 protection, data transfer monitoring, automatic updates, and threat alerts. The price depends on the type of power plant and its use – ranging in the thousands of Czech korunas per device. More in the “Products” section.

A security layer that never slows down production.

Guardexy is designed not to affect PV operation even in the event of a failure – production continues. At the same time, the system automatically reports if it is out of service, so you will know about the problem in time.

A firewall for the solar world – tailored specifically for PV systems.

A router protects the home network; Guardexy protects the inverter itself. It analyzes traffic specifically for photovoltaics, recognizing the difference between normal communication and suspicious data transfer.

Are you interested in a partnership?

Photovoltaic cybersecurity is not a matter of individual installations – it is in the interest of us all. We are looking for partners among energy companies, technology developers, municipalities, and institutions who want to support the creation of a more secure solar infrastructure in the Czech Republic and Europe. Join us and help raise data protection standards in photovoltaics to the level that modern energy deserves.
